The standard against which all other text books should be measured!

O.K. Let's face it: what could be more boring than Organic Chemistry - right? WRONG! Morrison and Boyd's Organic Chemistry takes the pallid and dry subject of Organic Chemistry and imbues it with a vitality and interest that will stupefy you. Trust me, you cannot begin to fathom how effective this book is at making its subject interesting and more importantly understandable. The authors are brilliant at introducing a complex and arcane topic, incrementally building slowly and confidently a framework of knowledge and information that nearly makes, of all things, intuitive sense when they are through.

Every educator should study Morrison and Boyd in an attempt to appreciate how it works its magic. I can say without reservation, this is the text book against which all others should be measured. You will not be disappointed.

Quite excellent, I loved this one

I am not a Chemistry major, however I found Morrison & Boyd interesting. I used this book in high school for about 50% percent of the Chemistry syllabus in high school related to organic chemistry. The style of the authors was refreshing, and I found it easy to read large sections in short periods. I also found it easy to recall a lot of points as the book was written in such a way as to lead you from one point to the other, which style is the best for organic chemistry.
Again, I used this book for a chemistry course in my freshman year, and I did not regret the decision. A wonderful book, it is a phenomenon in publishing.

Great text for organic chemistry

My undergraduate organic class used this book for its text. I found it to be surprisingly readable and made the difficult concepts easier to understand. Even though I am done with organic chem, this book will remain part of my permanent collection.

A Homerun!

Fantastic novella focusing on a minor league baseball player, who has kept his sexual orientation a secret from the public and his team.
Jay has always kept his private life separate from his baseball life. It has never been a real problem for him, since he never had a serious committed relationship before.
When Jay meets Liam, there are instant sparks, but will Jay be able to handle more than just a casual fling?
This was a very sexy story that I finished in one sitting. It was nice to read a story involving an athlete for a change instead of the usual businessman featured in a lot of books I've recently read.
Jay and Liam have great chemistry and the sex is very hot. This is not the first I've read by Kathleen Lee and I certainly will not be the last.

Serviceable Short Story

Caught Looking had lots o' sex, but each scene was blink-and-you'd-miss-it quick. If I'm going for erotica with a semblance of plot, I want something more WAY hotter than this. I think this story may have been better served by trying to ramp up the heat level or, conversely, committing to a full on smuff-fest (that's smut + fluff to the uninitiated). As it was, this story was too middle of the road and didn't feel quite successful at either.

About the Author
Michael Freeman, professional photographer and best-selling author, was born in England in 1945, took a Masters in Geography at Brasenose College, Oxford University, and then worked in advertising in London for six years. In 1971 he made the life-changing decision to travel up the Amazon with two secondhand cameras, and when Time-Life used many of the pictures he came back with, he embarked on a full-time photographic career.

Since then, working for clients that include all the world's major magazines, most notably the Smithsonian Magazine (for which he has shot more than 40 stories over 30 years), Freeman's reputation as one of the world's leading reportage photographers has been consolidated. Of his many books, which have sold over 4 million copies worldwide, more than 60 titles are on the practice of photography. For this photographic educational work he was awarded the Prix Louis Philippe Clerc by the French Ministry of Culture.

Freeman's books on photography have been translated into 27 languages.

[Kindle version] Awful formatting code, useless for studying, buy the paperback format

I love the quality of McGraw Hills books and specially the ones to prepare the Java Certify exams. I'm also a Kindle user with very good experiences reading books in Kindle versions.

But this one is completely useless. As you may know, Kindle books are actually a kind of HTML code (with labels like: '', '', '', etc.). Well, Java ALSO use these kind of labels for its GENERIC parameters, so when you open this book in Kindle version you lose every generic argument (and there are a lot of them in the exams) because the book reader thinks they are HTML labels and don't show them.
This problem also affects to EVERY comparation expression which uses the characters ">" or "=" or "
