Could not go beyond the first section. Does not worth the price. And is not an editing problem since no distortion is noticed.

Subsequent chapters summarize reproduction and development in thirty different invertebrate groups and provided ercent references through which additional information can be traced, cite monographs or keys needed to identify species, and give methods useful for studying an array of selected species. Available information on habitat, diet, reproductive mode, egg size, developmental pattern, developmental times, larval type, and conditions for settlement and metamorphosis is reported for over 450 species.

Excellent reference material on larval biology

Meg Strathmann (and her colleagues) put together a wonderful reference book that is a must-have item for anyone doing work on the reproductive biology or larval biology of marine invertebrate animals along the Pacific coast of the North America. This book is also a great source of reference material for invertebrate biologists anywhere in the world.
This book includes information about methods, and hints about culturing and maintaining marine invertebrate larvae. It also contains published or unpublished (but documented) observations on the reproduction and development of marine invertebrates of the northern Pacific coast.
The book is divided into chapters devoted to different invertebrate phyla, including methods for culturing their larvae, as well as information on the timing of spawning and development of as many Pacific NW species as have been studied.
The book, published in 1987, is now approaching its 15th year in publication. Even though some parts of it are slowing slipping out of date, this book remains the best reference book on this topic.

Jacques-Francois Thisse, a fellow of the Econometric Society and of the Regional Science Association International, is Professor of Economics at the Universite Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and the Higher School of Economics (Russia). He has published in numerous journals, including the American Economic Review, Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy, the International Economic Review, Management Science, Exploration in Economic History, and the Journal of Economic Geography. He is the co-author of Discrete Choice Theory of Product Differentiation, Economic Geography, and Economic Geography and the Unequal Development of Regions. Professors Fujita and Thisse co-authored the first edition of Economics of Agglomeration: Cities, Industrial Location, and Regional Growth (Cambridge, 2002).
